Golden, crispy, and sugar-crusted Air Fryer Cinnamon Twists are the ultimate quick snack. Ready in under 30 minutes with a simple cream cheese dip, they’re a healthier, easier alternative to fried pastries.

Ingredients

Scale

12 thawed frozen dinner roll dough balls
½ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
4 ounces cream cheese
23 tablespoons canola oil
For the dip: 1 tsp pure vanilla extract, ¼ cup powdered sugar, 1-2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Cut thawed dough balls in half. Roll each half into a 6-inch rope. Twist two ropes together, pinching ends to seal.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Brush twists with oil, then roll in cinnamon-sugar. Let rest 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Arrange twists in a single layer. Air fry for 7 minutes, flip, then cook 4-5 more minutes until golden.
  4. For the dip: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Whisk in vanilla, powdered sugar, and milk until desired consistency is reached. Serve with warm twists.

Notes

  • Letting the twists rest is crucial for a soft, airy interior.
  • Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 2-3 minutes to recrisp.
  • The cream cheese dip can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
